The Blue Chip Southeast Showcase in Charlotte, NC May 20-21, 2017 was a great success. The weekend started off with a recruiting seminar. Saturday evening at the Crowne Plaza in Charlotte six DI College Coaches lectured in a recruiting seminar for players and parents. Mike Murphy (Head Coach Colgate), Billy Dwan (Asst. Coach Hopkins), Chris Gabrielli (Head Coach Providence), Colin Hulme(Asst. Coach Fairfield Univ.) and Jake Padilla (Asst. Rutgers) lectured on topics of early recruiting, current NCAA rule changes, Prospect Days and the recruiting process as it applied to their particular institution. A question and answer period followed which lasted well into the evening. Over 350 players and parents were in attendance.

Sunday, May 21st, 2017 the Blue Chip Southeast Showcase was held at the Mecklenburg County Matthews Sportsplex, featuring over a dozen fields and amenities that would rival any complex in the nation. Approximately 160 players performed in front of over 30 DI, DII and DIII college coaches on staff for the event. The staff coaches selected 26 All Stars from the event from all age groups. Note: The college coaches also selected an Offensive and Defensive MVP for the entire Showcase. Congratulations to Defensive MVP Brendan Flynn and Offensive MVP Emmett Houlihan for their oustanding performances on the field for the Blue Chip Southeast Showcase.
