Garber Field - Current site of the Blue Chip 225 All Star Games
The newly renovated Richard F. Garber Field will feature the Blue Chip 225 All Star Games. Garber Field is a historic facility for men's lacrosse and one of the premier lacrosse venues in the country. "The Hill" is reknowned for attracting thousands of students to view games on spring afternoons.
Garber Field currently serves as the home of the UMass men's and women's lacrosse teams, and formerly hosted contests for the field hockey and men's and women's soccer squads. A new, longer field turf was installed during the Summer 2015 during a resurfacing project which brings the women's lacrosse program back to Garber Field. In 2006, the playing surface was replaced with a state-of-the-art artificial turf while the stands were expanded and a press box added to the West side of the facility. Prior to that, permanent lighting was installed in 1997, allowing Massachusetts teams to play at night. The facility has a listed capacity of 5,000 and is named in honor of the late-Richard "Dick" Garber, the legendary men's lacrosse coach who won 300 games as the program's leader from 1955-90.

In our player reviews this year the dining at UMass achieved a perfect OUTSTANDING rating.
Dormitory: UMass dormitories are double occupancy with a limited number of triple occupancy rooms all with community bathrooms. A Residential Services staff member is on duty 24 hours a day. The dorm entrances are locked 24 hours a day with required key card access. Campers and staff will be issued access cards at check in. Campers’ access cards are programmed for entry between the hours of 7am and 11pm.
Fields: One of the most appealing features of UMass was the number of playing fields that are available and their location. Blue Chip 225 will have access to 8-10 grass playing fields all in one central location within a short, easy walking distance from the dormitories and dining hall.
Tobacco Free Campus: On July 1, 2013 UMass Amherst adopted a Tobacco Free Policy prohibiting the use of any and all tobacco products everywhere on campus, inside buildings and throughout the grounds. The policy applies to everyone and anyone on campus, including students, staff, faculty, contractors and visitors.
